Abyssinia Natural Anaerobic - 150 gram
Abyssinia Natural Anaerobic Arabica Coffee Beans
Single-origin, specialty-grade coffee processed using the Natural Anaerobic 120H method. Roasted fresh after your order is placed.
WHY CAN THE SAME BEAN TASTE SO DIFFERENT? >>
“The ancient soul of Abyssinia, transformed by daring craftsmanship. An intense 120-hour anaerobic fermentation unleashes a vivid tapestry of sweet grape and wild strawberry, gracefully woven together by a fragrant ribbon of jasmine tea. Daring, floral, and deeply captivating.”
Strawberry comes first, sweet with a slight tang reminiscent of fresh fruit. Jasmine emerges in the middle, light and fragrant, followed by grape on the finish—sweet, slightly astringent, and lingering. The aroma is noticeable as soon as you open the bag.
This lot is the twin of our Abyssinia Fullwash. It comes from the same farm in Panji Mulia, features the same varietal, and grows at the same altitude of 1,450–1,500 meters above sea level. The only difference is what happens to the coffee cherries after picking.
The Fullwash lot is pulped and washed, resulting in chocolate and black tea notes. This lot, by contrast, is left intact and fermented in a sealed, oxygen-free environment for 120 hours before being dried in the sun. The result is strawberry, jasmine, and grape.
With our Abyssinia Fullwash, we show how a place can shape flavor. This Abyssinia Arabica shows how processing can transform it even further.
Two bags, one lesson.
