Green Bean l Kerinci Fullwash 1kg
The varietals in this lot tell a story that goes beyond local heritage. S-795 originated in India and is a crossbred variety introduced to Indonesia because of its disease resistance. To this day, it remains a backbone of many coffee farms in Jambi, alongside Sigararutang and Andongsari. Having three varieties in a single lot is not an oversight; it reflects the way smallholder farms in Kerinci operate.
The farm is located in Renah Kayu Embun, Sungai Penuh, at an altitude of 1,200–1,600 meters above sea level, on the edge of Kerinci Seblat National Park. The coffee is processed using the Full Wash method, a fitting choice for a humid region: thoroughly washing away the mucilage helps reduce the risk of unwanted fermentation flavors.
Our assessment points toward notes of orange peel, black tea, and sweet spices. Jambi is still often considered a secondary origin compared with Aceh and Toba. Roast one kilogram of these Kerinci green beans, and you will have a reason to reconsider that perception.

POTENTIAL NOTES
Orange Peel | Black Tea | Sweet Spices
We write potential notes, not tasting notes. This is green coffee, not roasted coffee. What ultimately ends up in the cup depends on your roasting profile. We simply provide a starting point.
EVERY LOT GOES THROUGH QUALITY CONTROL
Origin, grade, processing method, moisture content, density, and defect count. We inspect, store, and record every lot.
Coffee is not magic. Coffee is a process, and processes can be tested.
TRIPLE PICK QUALITY ASSURANCE
Why Is Our Green Bean More Reliably Sorted?
Most marketplace sellers claim Grade 1 quality based on just one round of coarse machine sorting. At Coffest Roastery, we apply three stages of physical purification:
1 // Suton Machine
Filters out foreign objects such as stones, twigs, dust, broken beans, and silverskin that may have passed through from earlier processing stages.
2 // Optical Sorting Machine (SORTEX)
Uses modern optical sensor technology to eject black beans, sour beans, and beans damaged by insect bites.
3 // Hand Sorting (Manual Picking)
Our expert team performs the final manual inspection to remove fungus-damaged beans and ensure that defects are reduced to nearly zero.
The drying process uses indirect sunlight through a greenhouse system to help preserve the coffee’s optimal flavor characteristics.
